Performa is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to exploring the critical role of live performance in the history of twentieth-century art and to encourage new directions in performance for the twenty-first century. The Performa biennial of performance and live art has become a fixture of the New York cultural calendar, bringing a diverse group of artists and thinkers to the city to engage in experiments and exchanges.
