The Coleman Center for the Arts is a contemporary arts organization that uses art to foster positive social change, answer civic needs, build local pride, and use creativity for community problem solving. The Coleman Center was founded in 1985 through the grass roots efforts of local citizens. The organization’s mission is to integrate contemporary art into education, civic life, and community development throughout its region.

It is simply thrilling to be part of an organization where we get to see these values writ large and implement real change in real life ways in the visual arts community that still so needs to move forward in terms of social justice, equality, and diversity.
